The long-awaited news has been announced: World of Concrete 2021 is delayed.
According to WOC organizers:
Following discussions with key stakeholders and feedback from industry leading concrete and masonry associations, World of Concrete made the proactive decision to postpone the WOC from January to June 2021. The decision to move the dates back a few months was not an easy one; However, we felt that this was the right choice for everyone involved. The WOC will now take place from June 8th to 10th and the educational program from June 7th to 10th in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“We are committed to our exhibitors and attendees to deliver a valuable and productive personal experience at WOC each year,” said Jackie James, Group Director of World of Concrete. “This is the first time in our 46-year history that we have been faced with circumstances that have led us to postpone the event. We believe the new June dates give everyone the time they need to plan effectively and allow us to redefine WOC for a different time of year. Moving the event from winter to late spring this year allows for additional outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy in the great city of Las Vegas, including world-class exhibits, new product demos, and exciting spectator events. “
The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) has been awarded STAR accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) by the ISSA, the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association. The GBAC program is considered the gold standard for safe facilities and is designed to control the risks associated with infectious agents, including COVID-19. World of Concrete is also one of the first major events to take up the $ 980 million expansion of the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center in June. This will expand the existing 3.2 million square meter campus by 1.4 million square meters. In addition to the exhibition hall, the expansion will include a distinctive outdoor space, a large atrium, and state-of-the-art design and technology.
