The supplier for design and remodeling promotes two to regional vice presidents for sales roles Business Observer

SARASOTA – Florida Design Works has promoted Kim Kelly and James McKinney to regional vice president of sales.

In the newly expanded roles, Kelly and McKinney will oversee the day-to-day sales activities of their territories, focusing on sales growth, relationship building, product selection and inventory control. They will also work to train, develop and expand the showroom teams to exceed their sales targets for tiles, cabinets and floors for kitchens, bathrooms and other home projects, according to a press release.

“These positions are an integral part of our growth as a company,” said Jeff Bloch, vice president of operations at Florida Design Works, in a statement. “Kim and James have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills combined with well-established relationships in the design and retail industries, which make them a natural fit for the new roles.”

The first assignment for Kelly and McKinney is to hire at all four of the company’s locations. A press release states that the team is always looking for qualified showroom sales professionals who are focused on customer service and order service. Future growth plans foresee that they are also looking for qualified cabinet designers.

Design Works sales across the board, including Sarasota, Tampa, Fort Myers, Naples, Jacksonville and Miami, were very strong in 2020 despite the pandemic, a statement said in a statement. The business was classified as “essential” and continued to serve the builders. The exhibition rooms remained open.

Florida Design Works provides solutions and products for remodeling kitchens, bathrooms and apartments in tile, natural stone, custom cabinets, countertops, shutters, blinds and more. The team works with builders, designers, contractors and homeowners.
