Plumbing work suspected of starting house fire in Milton | Local News

MILTON, Wis. — On Saturday, firefighters responded to a house fire in the 4000 block of EMH Townline Rd. in Milton.

According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, when crews arrived flames were visible and the house was unoccupied. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before the residence was engulfed.

The preliminary investigation determined the homeowner was doing some plumbing work the day of the fire. Investigators suspect the plumbing work accidently ignited the home.

No foul play is suspected, but the fire is still under investigation.
