PHOTOS: Electric Raptor Paddock Fencing Installed at Jurassic World VelociCoaster in the Universal Islands of Adventure

The last time we checked in at the newly officially announced Jurassic World VelociCoaster, it was busy. We noticed that a lot of cosmetic details like lighting and landscaping were installed. New electric fence safety wires have now been installed to keep the velociraptors in their paddocks. These wires run along the top of the walls and are supposed to keep the raptors from jumping over the fences, although some raptors have been known to jump on them anyway to test the fence for weaknesses. Smart girls.

These themed elements aren’t actually electrified, but when guests fly through the sets while driving, they’ll barely notice the difference.

Workers have been seen applying these and other thematic elements, such as the new lights we saw in our last report.

This is going to be a really cool ride. If the on-ride concept video and concept art give any clue, this is an action-packed coaster filled with dinosaurs and adrenaline. We can hardly wait for summer 2021! Are you looking forward to the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster? Let us know in the comments below.
