NOTICE TO Bidders PPS 20-14 2021 HVAC UPGRADES LEEDS AVENUE SCHOOL PUBLIC NOTICE that sealed bids will be received by the Pleasantville Board of Education for the 2021 HVAC Upgrades Leeds Avenue School in the city of Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey. Proposal forms, contracts, and specifications are available for collection starting Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Remington & Vernick Engineers office, 845 North Main Street, Pleasantville, New Jersey, 08232. Prospective bidders should call Remington & Vernick Engineers at 609-645-7110 prior to receiving the specifications to determine a time for receiving the specifications. These bids will be received, opened, and read publicly on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Business Office Conference Room, 801 Mill Road, 3rd Floor, Pleasantville, New Jersey 08232. Copies of the bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available from prospective Bidders, Remington and Vernick Engineers, upon request, upon payment of US $ 25.00 for each set. Payment must be made either by post or in person prior to receiving the above specifications. No bids may be submitted in the engineering office. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject some or all offers in whole or in part and, in accordance with applicable law, to waive any informality in offers or offers received. The bids must be submitted on the bid form drawn up by Remington and Vernick Engineers in the manner specified therein and required by the specifications. They must be in sealed envelopes with the bidder’s name and address on the outside as well as on the outside of the reference to the particular work being offered. One (1) original proposal proposal and two (2) copies must be submitted. THE CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEES OR WORKFORCE TO FULFILL THE OBLIGATION OF THE MANDATORY PROJECT, WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COSTS TO THE OWNER. Each offer must be accompanied by a certified check, a bank check or a tendered bond, which was duly issued by the bidder as the client and on whose security a guarantee company approved by the Education Council in the amount of at least ten percent (10%), but in no case more than 20,000, USD 00 of the bid amount. Such a tender bond is without endorsements or conditions. The bidder must be prequalified by the New Jersey Treasury Department, Real Estate and Construction Department and must have a valid, up-to-date notice of the classification prior to the date of receipt of tenders. Any offer made under the terms of the New Jersey Statutes that does not include a copy of a valid and active pre-qualification / classification certificate will be rejected as it does not meet the bid requirements. Each bidder will submit a guarantee certificate in accordance with NJSA 18A: 18A-25 from a guarantee company stating that, if successful, they will provide the bidder with a performance / payment guarantee for the full amount of the contract. The procurement is subject to the funds necessary to lawfully carry out the work done by the Pleasantville Board of Education. The contract to be executed by the winning bidder provides that it will not become effective until the funds necessary to carry out the work have been lawfully made available by the Pleasantville Board of Education. The award is also subject to securing the necessary state, federal or local permits for the work. An offer cannot be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date specified for its opening. The tender must comply with the applicable requirements of NJSA 18A: 18A-1 ff. Relating to the “Law on Public School Contracts”. All bidders are cautioned to meet all requirements of NJSA 10: 5-31 ff. and NJAC 17:27, Affirmative Action, Current Regulations, NJSA 34: 11-56.25 et seq., New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, and American With Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 USC S12101 et seq.). All bidders must meet all requirements of federal, state, local and applicable regulations. The contractor is also advised to comply with NJSA 52: 25-24.2 and to provide a disclosure statement listing the shareholders with their offer. The contractor is also informed that he must comply with NJSA 34: 11-56.48 ff. The Law on Registration of Public Works Contractors and he and all subcontractors must be registered under the law. The contractor is also informed that he must comply with NJSA 52: 32-44 and provide proof of business registration and proof of business registration for all designated subcontractors in accordance with the law.
