Mitsubishi Outlander and Eclipse Cross drivers can now control their garage from anywhere with myQ® Connected Garage
“We are pleased to be the first to offer our drivers the ability to open or close their garage door directly from the built-in touchscreen,” he said Bryan Arnett, Director of Digital Product Strategy at Mitsubishi Motors Research and Development Americas. “The in-dash touchscreen control for the garage enables a more comfortable and seamless driving experience. Now you can not only check that the garage door has been left open, but also close the garage door from anywhere.”
Outlander and Eclipse Cross drivers, available via Android Auto ™ 1, with the My Mitsubishi Connect app and a garage door opener connected to myQ, can seamlessly transfer garage control to your in-vehicle touchscreen. Before myQ Connected Garage, drivers were only able to open and close the garage door to a limited extent if they were within sight of the door. With myQ Connected Garage, you no longer have to turn back to check that the garage door is closed and the drivers can easily let the children, visitors or dog walkers in on the street.
“We are excited to be working with Mitsubishi Motors to improve the garage control driving experience,” he said James Trainor, Vice President General Manager Automotive at the Chamberlain Group. “With myQ Smart Vehicle Access, Mitsubishi has been able to integrate intelligent garage control functions into the vehicle’s integrated touchscreen, so drivers can stay connected to their home and know that their garage is safe.”
