Mission Viejo: Get ready to brighten up in 2020 with the annual holiday home lighting competition

With 2020 bringing a lot of darkness, now is the time to bring some light into the year through the annual holiday home lighting competition.

Mission Viejo residents are encouraged to brighten up their neighborhoods and share the vacation spirit by participating in the annual lighting competition. Homes must be decorated and presented to the Mission Viejo Activity Committee by 5:00 p.m. December 4.

Homes are judged on categories like Most Creative. Best topic; Best use of lighting; Most humorous; Show stopper; and illuminate your neighborhood price.

The preliminary assessment will take place from December 6th to 8th, the final assessment on December 9th.

The winners will receive prizes together with the winner’s sign for their front yard and a photo.
