Legacy Door Opens Akron Showroom; new company for long-time garage door sellers | What’s in stock

Legacy Door Co., which sells and services garage doors and openers for residential and commercial customers, recently opened a showroom in its new Akron location.

The company’s headquarters at 326 S. 7th St. is the former home of Good Door Sales, a garage door sales company that closed last year.

Marlin Petersheim, owner of Legacy Doors, has been in the garage door industry for more than 20 years. He started off a summer high school job installing garage doors for Smoker Door Sales in Kinzers, where he worked until Legacy Door was founded last October.

Petersheim is currently the only employee who uses subcontractors for some jobs. However, he plans to hire his own staff starting this summer.
