As part of a paid promotion, Erin and Ben Napier have shared their thoughts on using Swiffer products on hardwood floors (via House Beautiful). However, not all hardwood floors are compatible with Swiffer products. “If they’re finished with a wax or oil, then these materials will not work for you,” Ben Napier noted. But he also says most homes no longer have this type of finish on their hardwood floors, so Swiffer products are safe to use.
Of all the Swiffer products, the couple commonly uses the Swiffer WetJet Wood on their hardwood floors at home. This product comes with a microfiber cloth, which is meant to be soft against this natural flooring material (via Bed Bath & Beyond). They also like the dual head sprayer, which allows for the cleaning solution to evenly cover the floor as you wipe away any dust or grime. The mop tool they also mention is labeled as safe for all flooring, which is convenient for homeowners who have not only wood floors, but other types of materials installed as well (via Bed Bath & Beyond).
