DALLAS – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Generational Equity, a leading privately held merger and acquisition advisor, is pleased to announce the sale of its client Florida Overhead Door & Specialties, Inc. to a private investor. The acquisition was completed on February 19, 2021.
Florida Overhead Door & Specialties (FOD) is a franchisee and authorized distributor of overhead door products. FOD has exclusive rights to operate as an overhead door distributor in nine counties in north central Florida.
FOD specializes in the installation of garage doors and garage door openers / controls for private and commercial customers. The company also offers maintenance and emergency services for garage doors.
FOD operates in two locations – Gainesville, Florida (founded 1983) and Ocala, Florida (1996). The company has built an excellent reputation in its regional markets over the past 35 years.
David Fergusson, Executive Managing Director of Generational Equity, head of M&A technology practice, and his team, led by Barry DeWitt, Senior Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, with the assistance of Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, Alex Mironov, created the Deal closed successfully. Senior Managing Director Thomas Hamm established the first relationship with FOD.
