Nationally recognized painting and home services company sets up dedicated team and training program

May 13, 2021 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, Ohio – Fresh Coat announces the successful expansion of its commercial paint department with the addition of a dedicated support team to drive sales and provide critical training to franchise owners.

Fresh Coat’s commercial painting division provides a significant and stable recession-resistant revenue stream for Fresh Coat franchisees who also provide sought-after residential painting, pressure cleaning, wallpaper removal, drywall repair, and other critical business and household maintenance products.

To support existing and future franchisees, Fresh Coat has established a comprehensive commercial training program that gives owners the tools to thrive in the robust commercial paint market.

“In the past, commercial painting projects have been much more difficult to find and secure,” said Greg Platz, vice president of national accounts, Commercial Division. “Fresh Coat has added resources to the home office team to support the growth and development of this business area and to make it easier for our franchisees to thrive in this area.”

Once Fresh Coat franchise owners complete the training program, they will receive additional support, supervision, and an operating system that will maximize revenue at no additional cost. This contains:

  • Commercial lead generation and offer support from the home office team
  • Assistance in reviewing contractors
  • Support in project management

“We also pre-negotiated prices with facility management companies in the markets we serve, and removed the bidding process, which gives franchisees profitable work,” adds Platz. “That’s the kind of support you would never get as a small, independent painting company.”

After just a few months of strategic expansion of its commercial painting division, Fresh Coat is already experiencing the proof of concept. In the first quarter of 2021, around 25 percent of the brand’s painting projects shifted to commercial work. During the same period, Fresh Coat received more than $ 10 million in commercial leads.

“There are so many options for commercial painting projects. But not all are profitable if you don’t have the experience, ”says Platz. “With this dedicated team, we are giving Fresh Coat franchise owners an advantage and a way to properly scale their business with the right tools and training.”
