RALEIGH, NC – Four Seasons Pest Control employees Christian Beane and Wes McBride have successfully completed the North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) Premier Technician Program. The final phase of the program took place March 24-25, 2021 with eight participants from North Carolina and Virginia. This was the opening class.
The NCPMA Premier Technician Program is aimed at pest control professionals who want to get involved in the field and be industry experts. The program offers an ongoing series of courses that enhance a technician’s understanding of pest infestation from detection to treatment. The Premier Technician award is given to industry professionals who have successfully completed eight or more Premier Technician courses.
“I’m really proud of Christian and Wes,” said John Adkins, president of Four Seasons Pest Control. “The program is very comprehensive and challenging. They took courses and worked on them for a while. You did a great job. “
Beane and McBride have received more in-depth classroom training and hands-on training on examining, identifying and treating pests in eight different subject areas. They have been introduced to and instructed in the use of the latest pest control equipment. Course topics included ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, flying insects, occasional intruders / pests from stored products, rodents, a wood-drilling inspection course / WDIR accreditation, and wood-destroying organisms.
Beane serves Four Seasons Pest Control customers in its Reidsville, North Carolina location. McBride serves customers in Danville, Virginia. To maintain their Premier Technician designation, Beane and McBride must continue their education and take at least one eight-hour Premier Technician course every two years.
“You will likely take more than one course before recertification,” Adkins said. “They are great guys who beat their game.”
NCPMA’s Premier Technician Program is made possible through contributions from NCPMA’s strategic partners. These partners include: BASF, Bayer, Bell Laboratories, Corteva Agriscience, FMC and Syngenta.
