During its Zoom meeting on Monday April 12th, Fenton City Council approved the expansion of lawn care and landscaping services with CJ Callaghan & Sons (ACE Lawn & Landscape) of Fenton.
In a memo from Michael Hart, deputy city administrator and chief executive of the Downtown Development Authority, to city manager Lynn Markland, Hart said for the past three years that CJ Callaghan’s provided the city and DDA lawn maintenance and landscaping services. Hart said the company “did a very good job” in providing these services. He added that the company had raised any issues it had encountered during the three-year deal with the city and the DDA.
By staying with CJ Callaghan & Sons, Hart said the company would keep prices the same for two more years on the same terms under the 2018 agreements signed.
Lawn maintenance pricing is $ 59,730 ($ 52,580 city) and landscape is $ 11,820 ($ 9,720 city) per year.
With city council approval, Hart will submit approval to the DDA board for his share of $ 7,150 for lawn maintenance and $ 2,100 for landscaping per year.
