FCT minister orders the use of CCTV cameras and solar lighting in the Abuja property

As part of an effort to protect the lives and property of residents of the country’s capital, FCT Minister Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has stated that it is mandatory for properties to use CCTV cameras with recording capabilities in all properties in the territory.

The minister added that it is equally compulsory for all properties in the territory to install solar lights on their fencing and along roads within properties.

Malam Bello, who said so when the Cosgrove Smart Estate in Wuye went live, said the focus would be on making sure the properties are properly managed, with more emphasis on safety and the environment.

In his words: “Our focus would be that the land is properly managed for the benefit of the residents. Accordingly, more emphasis would be placed on safety and environmental issues. It would be mandatory for every property in the FCT to set up CCTV cameras with recording options and solar lights on fences and along the streets in the settlements.

“In addition, no scavengers should not be rubbish collectors within goods. Every property is expected to use the services of reputable companies registered with the AEPB ”.

He added, “I would like to remind property developers that 40% of the FCT should be green. This is even more important now as we fight climate change. “

He called on the landowners to take adequate precautions for gardens and parks and to plant enough trees, shrubs and flowers, which is not only in keeping with the aesthetics of the city, but also for important ecological reasons within the manors.
