Dynapac North America is adding the new FC1700C, FC1400 II and FC1300 II to its commercial class paver range. The new pavers are equipped with EPA Tier 4 Final certified engines that meet emissions regulations and add new features to the commercial class paver range Taking Dynapac to the next level. The new FC1700 will be launched at the 2019 National Pavement Expo in Nashville, TN.
The FC1700C replaces the previous FC1600C model. Although the FC1700C bonnet profile is equipped with the larger 120 hp Tier 4 Final Cummins QSB3.8L engine, it is not compromised as it provides a prime view of the hopper. The lower head of the conveyor and the larger hopper capacity of 9.5 tons increases paving removal by a third before the hopper needs to be reloaded. The wider 14-inch. Trackpads further improve traction when paving on soft surfaces by reducing ground pressure.
New controls are more intuitive and include individual color indicators on both consoles. The screed heat and the stack height regulators are integrated into the displays to facilitate operation. The “Pave / Resume” function is unique and returns the automatic feed and drive functions to their previous status when they are stopped for the truck exchange.
The standard features with added value include a hydraulic screed crown, a hydraulic screed extension height and inclination, heated end gates and a Dyn @ link telematics system that makes the FC1700C versatile in large parking lots or district roads. The 4,500 pound heavy duty four-auger screed system VF0816 provides premium paving quality and density behind the screed. This system allows paving at 8 or 15.5 feet without the need to shovel asphalt all the way to the end gates. The fail-safe screed heating system is unique in the standard range of pavers and provides uninterrupted heating of the screed panels.
The Dynapac FC1400C II is the second generation of Dynapac commercial class mid-size pavers now available with a 74 hp Tier4 Final Cummins QSB 2.8 engine. The new engine does not require a DEF system, which simplifies maintenance and operation. The improvements in operation and maintenance include a new color display on the control panel that shows important engine codes.
The performance is increased by the screed VF0814, which is now offered with a standard electric heater. This is an upgrade to the previous generation gas heated version. The fail-safe electric heating system is based on the larger model FC1700C with a 12 kW generator attached directly to the diesel engine to increase efficiency and speed up the heat cycle. The VF0814 heavy screed, weighing 3,200 pounds, offers premium density and mat quality and reduces the need for multiple rolling passes. The four-auger system mounted on the screed makes the 14-foot paving width seamless.
The upgrades to the Dynapac FC1300C II complete the new commercial paver line and include a Kubota D1505, 24hp Tier 4 final engine. This tilt-hopper paver with independent flow grids is perfect for small access or repair jobs. The high-performance construction of this paver is superior to the others in terms of durability.
“The second generation of Dynapac’s commercial paver range is further proof of our commitment to paver owners and operators. Vijay Palanisamy, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Dynapac, says. “The updates to these models are based on continuous feedback from road construction companies about what works best on the job site.”
