NEW HAVEN – According to a press release, the regional water authority is offering a free series of webinars promoting efficient water use and lawn maintenance.
The series offers expert advice on maintaining healthy lawns and gardens without wasting water or money – the press release says.
Each episode of the series lasts 30 minutes and takes place on Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. All are free and open to the public. They will be held:
April 21: Julius Duncan, Environmental Engineer at the Federal Environment Agency’s WaterSense division, will speak about the WaterSense program and efficient irrigation equipment.
April 28: Paul Avitable Jr. and Irrigation Specialist at Able Irrigation in Hamden to discuss irrigation system best practices.
May 5th: RWA environmental analyst Steve Vitko will speak about creating an environmentally friendly irrigation system.
May 12: Gail K. Reynolds, a master gardener with UConn Extension, will speak about what grass and gardens need to grow and thrive.
