Cars set on fire as bricks thrown through the windows of the house in a “terrible” Wishaw attack

Police seek information after a house was attacked and two cars were set on fire in Wishaw.

The incidents occurred yesterday evening around 11:30 p.m. on the Saffron Crescent.

A number of bricks were thrown through the windows of a house while two cars were set on fire outside in the street.

Wishaw CID Detective Inspector Kenny Dalrymple said, “This was a terrible incident for the residents of the house, who thankfully were not injured.

“Investigations to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we appeal to anyone who has information to come forward and contact the police.

“We will also be conducting additional patrols in the area as investigations continue and to keep the community safe.”
