Carpinteria-Based Coast Supply Co. Offers Local Families Free Home Renovations For The Holidays | Local news
Coast Supply Co. of Carpinteria is getting the Christmas cheer up by giving a family a home renovation worth over $ 100,000.
“At Coast Supply, we are so blessed to instill the same spirit of generosity in our community,” said Marketing Director Aaron Nelson to Noozhawk. “This Christmas we’re giving away a house renovation to a deserving family in our community … We’re giving away everything except the house!”
The home renovation may include new floors, kitchen cabinets, countertops, and furniture, Nelson said. While there isn’t a fixed figure for the renovation budget as it depends on the needs of the winning family, the renovation is currently estimated at over $ 100,000, he added.
Coast Supply Co. is a 76 year old home furnishings company based in Carpinteria serving homes from Goleta to Malibu.
The company said it is running the home renovation giveaway as a way to give back to the community that it cares for.
“As locals in the area, we feel we should take care of ourselves. It’s not a big deal – we have building materials and people need them, ”Nelson said. “As we celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus, we strive to bring a small reflection of this gift to a local family by offering them a much-needed home renovation.”
The goal is to find an active and contributing member of the community whose needs Coast Supply Co. can meet by providing new kitchen, flooring, and furnishings, said Nelson.
The nomination period began in early December and ended on Friday with over 500 nominations, Nelson said.
Coast Supply Co. narrowed the 500 nominations last weekend to a list of the top 5 and will select a winner just before the Christmas holidays. “We’re going to knock on our winner’s door and surprise the deserving family with the best Christmas present ever,” said Nelson.
After the winner has been chosen, the renovation is expected to begin in early 2022, he added.
“Our mission here is really simply to bless a deserving person and help them transform their home into their dream home,” said Nelson.
