Air conditioning fails at Pecan Park Elementary when the weather gets hot

A Jackson elementary school feels the heat after its air conditioning system fails.

The parents tell WJTV News Channel 12 that Pecan Park Elementary School has been without air conditioning for the past two weeks.

Jackson Public School District officials don’t say much about what’s happening other than repairs should be in place by the end of the week.

The district issued a statement stating, “Fans will be distributed in parts of the building and used temporarily as needed.”

The school also sent a handout message to the students’ parents on Tuesday saying to help the light teachers turn off the lights and move some classes.
